February 28, 2025 – Minneapolis, MN
Brainier Solutions and ClearCompany, an industry leader in Human Capital Management solutions, today announced a charitable donation to the Special Olympics. The donation is in conjunction with a raffle prize offered at the 2025 Training Magazine Conference and Expo, APEX Awards Gala held in Orlando, Florida on February 16th.
The winner, Danielle DeAngelis, Senior Learning and Development Specialist at Open Table and Kayak.com, selected the charitable organization. Ms. DeAngelis and the team at Open Table and Kayak.com were were in attendance at the gala and honored as a Top Training Company. As part of the raffle prize presented by Brainier, she was gifted the selection of a charitable origination to receive a $500 donation.

The Special Olympics is a global sports movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. We are helping to make the world a better, healthier and more joyful place—one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time.
“I’ve chosen to donate to the Special Olympics because of the personal connection I have to the organization. My older brother is developmentally delayed and has special needs. Growing up, I played sports with him and volunteered through our local Special Olympics group, the All-Star Training Club, based in Akron, Ohio.I’ve seen firsthand the magic that sport brings to people who might not otherwise have access to it. The Special Olympics provides people like my brother with a sense of community and teaches valuable lessons about goal-setting, personal development, and teamwork.
I’m so grateful for all that the Special Olympics has given to my brother and others in the special needs community, and I appreciate Brainier making this donation on my behalf. It brings me joy to think of the next special needs athlete who will be able to reach a dream because of this organization.”
“We believe in using our resources to support organizations that do wonderful things for humanity,” said Kiel Welk, Director of Marketing at Brainier Solutions. This is the fourth consecutive year that Brainier has worked with Training Magazine to offer this donation opportunity to an Apex Award winner at the gala.
